- Dr. Rau is an integral part of TUMCREATE, the research platform for the improvement of Singapore’s public transportation. Dr. Rau joined TUMCREATE Limited in Singapore since 2011 as a Principal Investigator.
- Dr. Rau was the Founding Director of MSc programmes at TU München and the German Institute of Science and Technology – TUM Asia, Singapore.
- He is teaching public transport planning courses at Technical University of Munich (TU Munich), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and at Tsinghua University, Beijing.
